Jimmy Jumbuck Jimmy Jumbuck
Jimmy Jumbuck was the last to leave us. It was hard saying goodby to him in the New Orleans airport, but we knew he was going to a good home and would have a good life. We were later relieved to learn that he arrived in Kansas City untraumatized by his flight. He always had a lot of spunk!

Below -- Jimmy Jumbuck meets Miss Tess. On this gracious acreage in Robinson, Kansas, he will also meet prize Dutch rabbits, two labradors and two horses that run barrels.

Above and below, Jimmy Jumbuck is met at the Kansas City airport by Brady and his dad, and by Annette.

from Annette --   I'm so glad that you're happy with Jumbuck's new home; I was glad to provide some details about us and where he was going because I had a feeling that you really didn't want to let him go. I had hoped it would ease your mind a bit. We will take the best care we know how of him, and try our best to do him the justice he deserves. We just love our "four-legged" critters so much. People that aren't animal-orientated just don't understand how your lives can revolve around them. Jumbuck did so well last night. Of course, we stayed up late playing with him, and he "did his job" every time we took him outside.

Then when we put him in the exercise pen to go to sleep and turned out the lights, we didn't hear a single peep out of him til I got up around 7 am this morning! I think he was really tired from all his traveling yesterday, and meeting his new people. He has also done great today. We took him down to meet "Grandma and Grandpa," and he had fun playing at their house.

And on Wednesday, November 29, "Jumbuck has now seen SNOW" -- Well, Jumbuck has had his first experience with snow. Yesterday (Tues.) we broke records with a high of 73 degrees, then today it's 20 and freezing rain, sleet, and snow! Gotta love Kansas.... Jumbuck didn't know quite what to think of the white stuff blowing at him, he definitely did his job fast and ran for the house! I would have gotten a few pictures, but the wind was blowing so hard and it was so cold. We're not supposed to warm up much until next week.

Mysti Mysti
Lovely Mysti, who went to a show home
in Waycross, Georgia, looks so completely satisfied

with both her new owners -- Barbara and Jim.

Indeed, here she is -- in Waycross, Georgia -- enjoying life with her champion Samoyed brother.

Next row -- still enjoying life, but much bigger at 4+ months, Mysti thinks she might like to be a lap dog.

from Barbara and Jim --   Well, we finally made it home. Mysti is such a good and sweet baby, but so full of energy. The first night when we put her in her crate, she cried only a minute or two, then went to sleep and slept through the night until around 6:30 the next morning. The next day on the trip from Mobile, she slept most of the time in her crate. When we stopped and took her out, she would immediately go potty and was then ready to be picked up. We stopped in Tallahassee for the night and, again, she slept through the night without a whimper.

She and her new big brother, Nicky, our 3 year old Samoyed, are warming up to each other. The first day, she wanted to play, but he tried to ignore her. I think he was jealous of all the attention she was getting. Today when we got home and took them in the back yard, they started chasing each other and playing. Tonight they have been playing tug-a-war in the house.

December 22 -- Still wild as a "buck" and getting into everything, but still cute as ever... Thank God for Nikki. He keeps her pretty well occupied until he simply gives out. Started working a little on obedience and leash training, but still have a long way to go...----

January 23 -- As you can see, these two are rarely out of each others sight. They really do enjoy each other. Mysti thinks she has to stay as close to her big brother as she can get. She is his shadow.

January 29 -- Took Mysti to her first show in Ocala this past weekend. We did get her close enough to see what was going on. Wanted to get her used to the crowds and many other dogs. She did great. Can't tell you how many people stopped us to rave about her. Just before we left I took her out to potty and a man drove by, stopped, rolled his window down and said, "drop dead beautiful." Naturally I agreed with him. We really have high hopes for her.
She is truly a love!

Chadee Chadee

Above -- Chadee settling in for her trip to her new home across the bay in Daphne, Alabama.

Above right -- Chadee gives Devin lots of puppy kisses.

Below -- A fluffy and agile ball of energy, Chadee keeps Devin occupied.

from Devin -- Chadee is an amazing puppy. An amazing handful, of course, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. Her little brain never stops, and her energy level seems never to be exhausted.

She has responded very well to training, though she can be a good bit stubborn sometimes – a bit too much like myself. She has already learned where she needs to go to the bathroom, but we’re still working on how she lets me know. She can consistently fetch and return Frisbees to me – depending on the number of distractions around – and we’re aiming for a first mid-air retrieval by 13 weeks. She loves everyone she meets, has a great deal of fun with my parents’ 1 year old English setter, and loves to visit their 20 acre farm.

Overall, Chadee is a wonderful blessing.

he's just a moving blur!

Right -- Michael, Danette, King Diesel (settling in now)

from Danette --   We made it home!!!! It was at 5 am, but we made it!!!

We decided on a name too!!! King Diesel :) I like the name Diesel, like the actor Vin Diesel and there is a clothing line as well and Michael came up with King because on the way home he kept climbing up on Michael, as he was driving, and perching his head to look in the back of the truck like it was his throne. So it became King!!! We both got to name him and nothing else stuck as well as King and Diesel!

He cried a little in the truck, but settled down and we took turns holding him and he would just go back and forth. He was nervous when we got home but slept with us on the bed and just was very mellow and happy!!!

I took him for a walk this morning and he got tired pretty quick and just sat down, saying I am pooped!!! Then we played in the back yard where he was hopping around eating dead worms!!! Yuck to have to get that out of his mouth, but that is what mama's are for, right!!!

So now he is in his crate, sleeping and waiting for a fun filled night at home!!! Thanks again, we are really happy to have him and love him very much!!!

from Brooks-- Avett and I are doing AMAZING. He is such a quick learner and he is always ready to play. I love how when I leave him in a room he is sitting at the door waiting for me to return. I was going to say he's fully house trained, but today he had his first accident in weeks.

He loves chasing any type of balls, and he's getting to the point that he can catch bouncing tennis balls out of the air consistently. I've found walking him around campus and at the soccer fields is the quickest way to meet new people (ESPECIALLY girls, always a plus).

My family met Avett over Thanksgiving break and they LOVE him. My parents had reservations about me getting a dog at first, but now they are as excited about him as I am.

I can't begin to tell you how much I already enjoy him. My vet was so impressed with him and his pedigree that they asked for your web page so they could possibly recommend you to potential buyers in the future. You were right, I have already had 5 or 10 people tell me that my dog is the best looking puppy they have ever seen. Sorry it's taken so long for me to update you on how we are doing, but it has been a little hectic with finals going on.

understands no, and is beginning to understand the whole restroom outside idea.

Beau Jangles

Beau Jangles

Waiting peacefully with his new owner Wendy to enter the cabin for the flight
to Virginia Beach, Beau Jangles is all snug and comfy in his carrying case.

Wendy wrote -- Beau did so well on the plane. It was amazing. He didn't even give out a whimper. He seems to like the carry-on, so I am having him sleep in it at night. He wakes me up when he needs to go outside because it is small and he doesn't want to mess it up. If I don't wake right up, he howls and keeps it up until I get him. As soon as we hit the grass, he goes and we go back upstairs and he snuggles down in his "crate" and goes back to sleep.

My older Aussie is getting better with him. Beau looks at her with such longing, but he does keep his distance. Right now they are both outside with Beau on one side of the yard and Desi on the other. It is pretty cute.

My grandson loves him and I know they are going to become terrific pals ! Beau wants, so badly, to play chase. Benjamin doesn't quite get it yet, that Beau is wanting to play. Beau wants to be close so Ben is learning.

Beau gets more beautiful every day! He loves it outside. He has such boundless energy. He chases leaves all over the place. They are great playmates for him. He pounces on long bits of grass and is just all around delighted with the world. He hops in and out of the backdoor like a champ and knows when I am going outside. He doesn't want to be left out!

Below -- Beau at 3 months -- he always was the biggest pup in the litter!

November 3rd -- I am so glad that I came early to get Beau. He is totally my dog and herds me whereever I go. He comes immediately when I call him, hasn't made any sort of mess in the house for ages (knock on wood!) and LOVES it outside. There are times when he whines at the back door, then stays outside for an hour or more. I absolutely adore him and want to take him everywhere with me.

(November 3 continued)  We went on an outing to get some chicken. :) That was funny. He whined for a good bit of the outbound trip, settled down, but when the chicken entered the scene, he was on a hunt! His little nose was searching everywhere for the source of that heavenly aroma.

He has begun "patroling" the property. He makes a circle of the fence line as soon as he goes outside. My other Aussie did the same thing. We were outside last night, enjoying the evening, when some kids walked by the back fence. We have a bit of an open space there and there is a sidewalk back there. Beau heard them, cocked his head to the side and listened for about a min. Then he ran to the fence, ears up, looking just like a tiny guard dog. :) He followed them down the fence line but didn't make a sound. It was like, "I am here and you better not come in. I won't bother you if you don't bother me." :)

His personality is WONDERFUL. He isn't the slightest bit shy or hesitant. Hurrah!! I am taking him everywhere I can and letting lots of people interact with him. I want the protectiveness but not a crabby dog. He is NOT crabby at all.

His eyes are still blue. They look more and more like Bree's. I am still very hopeful. :)

December 27 -- He is a MOOSE!! His eyes are still blue (HURRAY!!, HUZZAH!!!) His favorite thing is to take a running leap and hurl into my lap. Then he licks all over my face and chews on my hands. He is actually much better than he was at first. His manners are getting much better but he is REALLY stubborn. :) So am I, and I usually win. :) We haven't started obedience in a class yet, but he is doing really well on a lead. He loves it. When he is off the lead, he herds like crazy. On lead, he walks like a little man. I think he would herd flies if he could.
